Coding Skills for the Web

HAVE YOU EVER STUMBLED ACROSS SOME SOURCE CODE AND THOUGHT, “WHAT IS THIS HOT MESS OF LETTERS AND SYMBOLS??!”

To the untrained eye, code can look like something from the secret service. But in just two hours with Code Like a Girl, you’ll be creating your first HTML/CSS project and putting some new skills in your coding toolbox!

This interactive and fun workshop will cover the following:

  • What is the language of the web?

  • How do you create HTML documents (websites)?

  • What are HTML and CSS and what’s the difference anyway?!

  • How to style your new webpage with CSS

Code Like a Girl is a social enterprise committed to liberating the talents of women and girls by providing them with the confidence, tools, knowledge and support to enter, and flourish, in the world of coding.
